My second draft sketchup model was based on the section above. The corresponding words are:
Above - Triangular (based on Malangi's work)
Below: Imagination (based on Banksy's work)
It is quite clear that the top half is symbolic of the word 'triangular'. I hope to use this unique collection of triangles as the roof to the entire section. I attempted to highlight the solidness of the lower section with the filled rectangles and ladder like shapes which elongate vertically down.
The above image displays my second draft sketchup model based on the hand drawn section above. The only main difference is the circular poles which extend from each rectangle. In the originally proposed section these were drawn as crosses.
The above image highlights the two pairs of stairs that were to be included in the model, linking the top studio (Malangi) with the middle gallery and similarly the middle gallery with the lower studio (Banksy). As you can see by experimenting more with the features Google skectup offers I was able to create a circular staircase. I was particularly proud of the second staircase which contains a platform which allows you to somewhat 'hover' above the lower studio level, as you make your way down the stairs.
